In Body and Spirit

This month’s theme is Art & Creativity.

In her book This Here Flesh, Black writer and liturgist Cole Arthur Riley says, “Many of us, in pursuit of the spiritual, become woefully neglectful of the physical.” In many UU spaces, we often focus on the intellectual while deemphasizing the physical. What does it mean for us to experience spirituality not only in our minds and spirits, but also in our bodies? Together, let’s explore ways we can embody our beliefs and understandings of the world and the universe.

Choir & band will rehearse at 9:15am and perform the hymns during service.

There will be an all-ages children’s chapel this week. Children ages 4 and older are invited to come first to the worship service before heading to the chapel, and younger children can head straight to the nursery. Childcare will be available in the nursery from 9:30-1, and all ages are always welcome there during events before or after the service.

This month, we are sharing our offering plate with Urban Media Arts.
