Icebergs and Upsides

Have you ever seen one of those graphics showing how much of what we “see” is actually below the surface, unrecognizable from our vantage point? Join guest minister Rev. DL Helfer to consider, both internally and in community, what there is to be found – right below the surface.

Bio: Rev DL Helfer is non-binary, and in general avoids boxes which traps them into “this” or “that.” Instead, they search for possibility, for deeper truths, and share those glimmers of possibility with others. Rev. DL is also a licensed social worker, currently working with transgender and gender diverse children and youth. Rev. DL hails from Southern California but now call Providence, RI home. They share that home with their beloved partner and two overzealous cats.

There will be an all-ages children’s chapel this week. Children ages 4 and older are invited to come first to the worship service before heading to the chapel, and younger children can head straight to the nursery. Childcare will be available in the nursery from 9:15 – 12:15, and all ages are always welcome there during events before or after the service.

Choir & band will rehearse at 9:15am and perform the hymns during service.

This month, we are sharing our offering plate with The Cowasuck Band of the Pennacook Abenaki.
