Other Enrichment Opportunities
Children’s Worship Experiences
We offer a variety of opportunities for children to experience worship.
Every Sunday all children and youth are welcome in the sanctuary to experience the first fifteen minutes of the service where there is a Time for All Ages message before they leave for their morning activities.
Classroom – A chalice lighting and reading is a part of every classroom gathering.
Chapel – Chapel is an important part of the worship experience where children and youth gather the first Sunday of every month. We explore together what it means to worship and delve into the monthly theme through song, story, movement and silence. A sense of worth is exemplified where all of the children are encouraged to be active participants in these monthly gatherings.
Multigenerational services are special ocassions where children and youth join with the adults for either half or the whole of a service. These services usually happen around big holidays (Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving) or times of special significance for our congregation (Ingathering, Flower Celebration, Martin Luther King Jr. Sunday).
All-age Sundays are occasions where children of all ages gather as one group on school vacation weekends or holiday weekends.
Social Justice Sundays
On Social Justice Sundays children and youth are given an opportunity to participate in a project that affects the wider community or world.
