Currently we are running the following programs (see our newsletters and calendar for updates):

Roots (Ages 0-3): Nursery ~ Child-directed play supported by professional nursery staff.

Saplings (Ages 4 – 6): World of Wonder ~ Learn about the interconnectness of life in this nature-based curriculum.

Branches (Ages 7-9): Lego Sources ~ Learn abut the key inspirations for Unitarian Universalism with an experiential, lego-based curriculum

Leaves (Ages 10-13): Our Neighboring Faiths ~ Learn about different belief systems around the world and close to home

For all our children:

  • All Ages Events – Once a month or so, we host an All Ages Children’s Chapel or special event instead of RE classes. This is a program where all children have an opportunity to learn together regardless of age. Lessons are around the worship themes of the month and involve stories, crafts, and games.
  • Multi-Generational Services – Children are always welcome in worship and the noises they make are sacred. However, about once a month we have a service specifically designed to be inclusive of all ages, and there are no separate Religious Education classes on these days.
  • Youth Choir – In collaboration with the music program, we will be having a children’s/youth choir this Fall! Rehearsals will be before church (9:45am – 10:15am) with performances during worship on specific days. No experience necessary, drop-in style welcomed.

Children and COVID Safety
In order to keep everyone safe, we ask that children with any symptoms stay home. Children are recommended to wear a mask if possible (with the exception of children under 2). All children who are eligible to receive a vaccine are strongly recommended to do so.

If you have questions about an RE program for your child, contact DRE Sara at [email protected].
